Online retail experts to secure global growth for Pronto Seed

The Leeds-based online retail experts, SHIFT Marketplace, has been appointed by Pronto Seed, the UK’s leading seed brand, to double revenues and launch the brand internationally on Amazon following a three-way competitive pitch.

True to its blueprint of partnering with and achieving phenomenal growth for promising retail brands, the Leeds-based expert team will maximise ownership and presence for the Blackburn-based horticultural company to secure success on the world’s leading digital marketplace.

This will allow the brand, which specialises in easy-to-grow seeds in sustainable packaging, to capitialise on the rapidly expanding global gardening market, which is set to be worth over £106bn by 2024, up 25 per cent from 2020.

With the strapline Sow, Grow and Enjoy, Pronto Seed is committed to helping consumers get back in touch with nature through eco-friendly, innovative and quality products. The company produces a wide range of items, including planting kits, gifts and accessories, to make growing herbs, vegetables, flowers and plants easy, accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Daniel Howarth, MD at Pronto Seed, comments: “We’ve chosen SHIFT Marketplace to deliver our strategic ambition to more than double our already profitable revenues in the next two years because of its proven history of exceptional performance for its clients, combined with a real affinity for our brand.

“During the pitch process, we were extremely impressed with how in touch the team is with global market trends and consumer habits, and its intelligent approach in leveraging these.”

SHIFT Marketplace’s commercial director, Tom Bagnall, comments: “We are overjoyed to be working with Pronto Seed to help bring the joy of gardening to even more people on a global scale. The ‘grow your own’ sector is booming right now, and showing no signs of slowing, and we’re excited to be driving this growth with a company that really cares about sustainability and education in this space.”
