Fitness brand’s first London launch hailed “massive success” ahead of expansion
Body Fit Training (BFT) officially opened its doors to its first studio in London on Saturday, February 18. Located in Battersea, the new gym has already proved a “resounding success”, filling 75 per cent of its membership capacity in the first week.
The successful launch is the first of many for Battersea’s owner Charlie Hendrie, a certified personal trainer who has lived and worked in London since 2014. He now has plans to open a further nine locations across South West London over the next three years.
Charlie commented: “The response we’ve had so far from London’s fitness community has been incredible. We had full classes on day one, and there was a great buzz throughout the day. I’m so proud of the coaching team here for helping to pull off such a memorable open day.
“Thank you to our members for their energy and excitement, we can’t wait to show you more of what we are known for, elite high-performance training and community”
“Now we are up and running, we can’t wait to help members take their fitness to the next level. Classes run from 5.30am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 7.30am to 12pm on Saturday, offering members an ideal mix of strength, cardio and conditioning for a full body workout.”
Among the faces attending the launch was BFT’s Global CEO, Richard Burnet. He added: “After 220 launches around the world, it’s fair to say I have been to a lot of Grand Openings over the years, and this was definitely a 10/10 BFT studio launch.
“The experience of the coaching team is some of the best I’ve seen. They are all passionate about fitness and have a genuine care for getting their members stronger. The Battersea studio is an amazing location and offers so much more than other group fitness in London.”
There were also plenty of satisfied members in attendance after Saturday’s opening session. Molly Morgan, one of BFT’s new members, said: “I’d heard so much about BFT being just like personal training, and I really experienced it this week. I was encouraged and supported to push myself each class and felt so good afterwards.”
Another member, Jack Huxtable, added: “BFT is the best and actually gets you fit and strong. You just turn up, follow the programme and really enjoy working out, it’s such a great vibe. I can’t wait to come back again.”
