Specialist property consultancy continues “impressive” growth with Durham office

This week, George F. White has opened the doors to a new office in the centre of Durham, its third new office launch in the last six months, following new locations launching in Hexham and Leeds.

The new Durham office is based at 82 New Elvet, putting the team in the heart of the city centre to expand its reach and capitalise on new opportunities.

This is George F White’s second office in Durham. Since the opening of its Pity Me office in 2020, increased demand has reached record levels, particularly across the residential sector in the city and surrounding towns, securing the need for a second, more centralised location.

Whilst the new office will predominantly focus on the company’s residential services, Durham clients will benefit from George F. White’s unique multi-discipline service offering, with experts in Commercial Property, Planning, Development and Architecture, as well as Rural Property.

The new Durham office will be led by senior associate/ valuer, Lindsay French and supported by valuer Ashley Barnes, who have been with the company for over 15 years between them. Lindsay joined George F. White in 2013, having worked within a sales and lettings background for independent and corporate agents since 2007.

Lindsay commented: “Durham has been my patch for my whole career so to now be stepping up to lead our new office is a great feeling and an exciting time for the business.

“Since establishing George F. White in the county we’ve grown a brilliant client base with a lot of variety and demand has continued to increase, it puts us in a strong position to expand our offering and reach with this new city centre location.

“Transparency is a core value of George F. White and is something that I also pride myself on. The open and honest way in which we conduct business, combined with our in-depth knowledge of the property market and local area, allows us to fully support our clients and advise on how they can maximise the value of their home.”

Sally Hart, managing director of George F. White, added: “We’re in an exciting period of growth and I’m delighted to see this new location open as we have an increasing client base in Durham. The new office puts us in the best position to take advantage of new opportunities, alongside our expansion within the residential property sector.”
