Access Sport announced as new charity partner for Verastar
Sports inclusion charity, Access Sport, is delighted to announce it has been chosen as the official charity partner for Verastar, the UK’s leading provider of essential business services to small businesses.
Based on a successful two year relationship with the charity in the North West Verastar has selected Access Sport as an official 2023 charity partner due to the charity’s support for young people in their community and across Greater Manchester.
A range of 2023 fundraising activities is already planned to include; running and hiking events, and workplace-based fundraising such as quizzes and a step-count challenge. Verastar employees are aiming to raise enough money to help 100 local young people get involved in sport.
The partnership was officially launched at Verastar’s offices in Sale by Access Sport ambassador, Olympic athlete and nine times BMX and Track world champion, Shanaze Reade. Employees heard from the athlete as to why she chose to support Access Sport and how she was helping to promote inclusive sports for all.
Shanaze Reade says: “I’m all about creating opportunities for disadvantaged kids, whether its cycling or any other sport. So I’m very happy to help launch this partnership on behalf of Access Sport and hope Verastar go on to raise lots of money for such a great cause.”
As part of the partnership, Access Sport will also be giving a group of Verastar employees the opportunity to experience a BMW track day with Access Sport ambassador, Olympic athlete and nine times BMX and Track world champion, Shanaze Reade.
What’s more, as winners of an Access Sport Action Prize, Verastar employees will also enjoy a team development session with Access Sport ambassadors and Olympic gold medallists Kate and Helen Richardson-Walsh, where they will use their experience of building and leading high-performance teams to inspire colleagues working at the company.

Verastar colleagues from our Manchester based offices will undertake a number of sports themed fundraising events and challenges, as well as volunteering their time. We’re fully on board to help the charity to improve the lives of local children and young people through the delivery of inclusive community sport programmes.”
