Oven valeting service Ovenu Maidenhead expands into Bracknell area

A businessman is expanding his oven valeting service into the neighbouring Bracknell area and is currently recruiting an additional technician to help meet demand.

Ryan Penniston, who recently marked the tenth anniversary of Ovenu Maidenhead, has greatly expanded his current client base and as part of his growth plans, he has opted to extend the service southwards into Bracknell, Crowthorne, Sandhurst, Sunningdale, Virginia Water, Ascot, Burleigh, and surrounding areas.

He is recruiting an oven technician, which enables him to put another van on the road in order to cover both territories comprehensively.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to grow the business and expanding the area has allowed me to provide work for someone else,” said the 33-year-old.

“As a franchised business, I’ve spent a decade building up my client base and have reached the point where I needed to expand to take things to the next level. It’s a really exciting time.”

Despite the challenges of the pandemic and resulting economic downturn, Ovenu Maidenhead has experienced a rise in enquiries as householders increasingly keep their ovens for a longer period, or opt to buy used, to save on the expense of buying new or to extend the lifespan of their appliance to minimise the environmental impact.

During his decade of running Ovenu Maidenhead, he estimates he has restored the sparkle to more than 5,000 ovens and, while he enjoys his work, he acknowledges that many prefer to leave it to a professional rather than tackle the dreaded task themselves.

He added: “It’s not a job that I tire of, but much of that is down to the great rapport I’ve built up with my clients, many of whom have been with me since the start.

“I have long term ambitions for the business and once I’ve established myself in Bracknell, hopefully we can go on to recruit additional technicians.”

The Ovenu process involves dismantling key components such as the door, interior panels, fan, and shelves and placing them in design-registered tank equipment, which uses safe, non-caustic and biodegradable products to clean the oven parts. The whole process leaves the oven in a near showroom condition.
