Aramex UK Grows its Life Science and Healthcare Division with WDA(H) Licence
Aramex UK Limited, today announces that its Life Science and Healthcare Division has obtained their Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (“WDA(H)”) licence, by the UK’s Medicine and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
The multinational logistics giant, which is headquartered in Dubai - UAE, is a leading global provider of comprehensive logistics and transportation solutions. The Company has business operations in more than 70 countries worldwide, employing more than 16,000 people and offering four well-defined products including International Express, Domestic Express, Freight-Forwarding and Logistics & Supply Chain Solutions.
Whilst already having an established healthcare division across the global network, the WDA(H) licence will enable the UK division to connect with their already GDP-compliant overseas stations by handling shipments of pharmaceuticals.
Dedicated to their life science and healthcare customers, Aramex UK’s healthcare solution has been built specifically around the principles of good distribution best practices. Aramex UK’s strict adherence to compliance is enhanced by its complete purpose-built healthcare and pharmaceutical Electronic Quality Management System (EQMS). The WDA(H) licence further compliments Aramex’s existing accreditations as a trusted operator within the logistics industry.

Aramex UK’s life science and healthcare division also recently opened its doors to its latest project; the installation of a temperature-controlled storage facility of over 720 square feet, dedicated to handling pharmaceutical products within their London premises. Situated near London Heathrow Airport, the purpose-built temperature-controlled facility consists of one CRT room for products requiring temperatures of 15°C to 25°C and one COL room for products requiring 2°C to 8°C.
Aramex UK is primed to maintain the strict temperature requirements of products throughout the supply chain, ensuring product integrity is maintained via a safe, secure, and efficient door-to-door service, with the end user in mind.
