Adlington Retirement Living launches dedicated resales service

Adlington Retirement Living is launching a new resales service to support homeowners and their families wishing to sell an Adlington Retirement Living apartment.

Adlington Estates will be led by Simon Crewe, a director at Adlington and managed by Tim Crichton who has been appointed to the newly created role of resales manager.

Tim joins the business with 10 years’ experience as an estate agent in Congleton, Macclesfield, Northwich, and Holmes Chapel. He said: “As a high street estate agent I gained fantastic experience which included working with retirement community properties as well as mainstream sales.

“Working in a busy estate agent opened my eyes to the fact that sometimes retirement properties do not receive the time and attention required to get the best outcome for the seller, compared to more mainstream properties. That’s why Adlington Estates will purely focus on supporting Adlington Retirement Living homeowners and their families when it’s time to sell their pre-loved properties, giving them our dedicated focus.

Adlington Estates customers will have their properties marketed on the Adlington Retirement Living website, as well as general property portals such as Rightmove. Viewings will be managed by the dedicated on-site Adlington team at each retirement community, who understand life at an Adlington community and are best placed to introduce themselves to potential buyers.

Simon Crewe said: “Our professional, on-site teams can demonstrate, at first-hand, the many benefits of living in one of our thriving communities. They’re also very empathetic and understanding. They know that the thought of moving can be stressful for home buyers and their families, so they take the time to listen and to help them every step of the way, which also helps the sales process to run smoothly.

The new service for homeowners and their families is part of the strategic expansion of Adlington Retirement Living.

Dr Ed Gladman said: “Since 2008, we have launched 15 Integrated Retirement Communities across the North West, Yorkshire, Wales and the Midlands. In the past six years we have grown from 30 employees to a team of more than 200, with experts from land acquisition, planning, architectural and technical design, to procurement, construction, sales & marketing, legal and community operations. Adlington Estates will complement our growing business and provide another high-quality service to our homeowners and their families.”
