SAS Daniels Hosts Business Breakfast with Robert Smethurst

SAS Daniels Solicitors in Macclesfield, one of four offices belonging to the leading North West-based law firm, has recently hosted an engaging business breakfast event with special guest speaker Robert Smethurst, owner of Macclesfield Football Club.

Robert, who purchased the assets of Macclesfield Town and rebranded the club to Macclesfield FC in 2020 after it entered liquidation, delivered an in-person presentation where he shared some of his experiences since rescuing the club, as well as providing an insight into some of his plans for the club’s future.

SAS Daniels held the event, which marked the re-launch of its popular Business Breakfast events, at Macclesfield FC’s Bar Twenty Seven. Hot beverages and breakfast were available on the morning, and attendees had the invaluable opportunity to engage with other members of the local business community.

Reflecting its commitment to give back to the surrounding areas and support grassroots organisations that bring local communities together, SAS Daniels has a long-standing relationship with Macclesfield FC through a sponsorship deal since 2015, and is also the Official Back of Shirt Sponsor for the Women’s First Team for the current 2022/23 season.

Robert Smethurst said: “SAS Daniels has been a huge supporter of the club, and without the loyal support from local businesses like this the club wouldn’t exist. Today, we have 38 teams, one of the biggest BTEC academies in the whole country, and over 140 kids training here every single day, which is an unbelievable achievement.”

Robert continued, “We have experienced an immense journey to date, which has been driven by pure passion to create something everyone in the local area can be proud of, and wouldn’t have been possible without the unprecedented support we receive from the community and our sponsorship partners.”
