Neil Hope, iamproperty

iamproperty, the UK’s largest residential auctioneer and PropTech pioneer, has appointed Neil Hope as chief technology officer. With a career spanning over 20 years, Neil has “vast” experience in delivering technology transformation for large, market leading businesses, having previously worked at Parkdean Resorts, Sage and Formica.

The appointment marks a continued investment in new skills as iamproperty takes on its next phase of growth. As part of his role, Neil will also take on board responsibility for openview, leading the team to establish openview as a significant player in agency CRM category and bring a market leading CRM solution to Estate Agents.

Ben Ridgway, iamproperty co-founder, commented: “We are really pleased to welcome Neil to the iamproperty team. We’re built on innovation and so this is a really important appointment for us.

Jennifer Scullion, Blue Moon Marketing

Marketing and design agency Blue Moon Marketing has recently made its second appointment within six months, welcoming Jennifer Scullion as senior client manager who will be responsible for managing the organisation’s client list across many sectors including construction, energy, health & fitness, financial, cyber security and fashion and clothing.

Jennifer is a highly experienced marketing, PR and communications professional and joins from her previous role where she was PR & Marketing Manager for a construction firm, a position she held for over four years.

Commenting on her appointment, Jennifer (pictured left) said: “I’m really excited by this new role and have so many ideas and so much energy and drive for my work. I was unexpectedly made redundant in February after the firm I was working for went into administration.

“I found myself in the unique position of having the chance to really take a step back and think about what I wanted to do and where my next career move should be.

“I’ve worked in-house for over 10 years and never thought I could, or would work for an agency but after meeting the team and listening to the vision for the business, it made me think twice. I’m delighted to be here.”

Owner Anne Reynolds (pictured centre) added: “Jennifer is an exceptional marketing and PR professional and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with her, I’m really excited to have her on board. We’re here to break down barriers and offer a fresh approach to how external marketing services are perceived and delivered.”

Claire Haigh, Vicky Johnson, Elizabeth Forrest and Jessica Stewart: McGarry & Co

McGarry & Co Solicitors has announced several new appointments which have seen Claire Haigh and Vicky Johnson join the firm from another Barnard Castle practice. Claire brings over 20 years of experience in legal practice, particularly in the fields of residential and commercial property law, as well as Wills and probate.

Vicky, who qualified with a First-Class honours degree from Durham University in 2001, brings extensive experience in her specialist areas of Wills, probate and Lasting Powers of Attorney, as well as residential conveyancing.

Claire and Vicky join solicitor Elizabeth Forrest, another recent appointment who joined the firm in October 2022 from a practice in Sedgefield, County Durham. Elizabeth followed her colleague, Jackie Schofield who joined McGarry & Co in October 2021 from the same Sedgefield practice.

Elizabeth specialises in residential conveyancing, namely sales, purchases and remortgages, as well as Wills and probate. Jackie’s focus is on Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, probate and other aspects of family law.

In addition, Jessica Stewart who completed her training contract with McGarry & Co, qualified as a solicitor in March 2023. Jessica graduated with a Law degree from the University of York and obtained a Master’s degree in Law from Northumbria University.

As a general practitioner, she advises in many areas of law, including conveyancing, Wills, probate and litigation, and has a particular interest in land and property matters. Jessica works in the office located at Darlington Farmers Auction Mart on a Monday and the Barnard Castle and Darlington offices during the rest of the week.
