This week’s round up of Yorkshire appointments includes RWO, Spike & Cloud Gateway. Read on to find out more…

Archie Dalton & Rik Binnersley, RWO

Yorkshire engineering specialist RWO has announced two senior appointments as it continues to develop and expand its operations.

Archie Dalton has been promoted to assistant engineer while Rik Binnersley becomes an associate director based at the firm’s Park Place office in Leeds. The move will see both working alongside the senior management team on civil and structural engineering project delivery, technical compliance of designs and new business development.

The news comes as RWO, currently employing 30 people across its two offices and targeting revenues in excess of £2.75m in the next 12 months, is seeing strong demand for its engineering services from the housebuilding, infrastructure and commercial property development sectors.

Recognising their contribution to the business, managing director Ross Oakley said: “These promotions reflect the excellent work staff are undertaking for our clients. We have achieved another year of strong growth and Archie and Ross have played a big part in that achievement.”

Nasim Ahmed & Victoria Baker-Haddock, Spike

Leeds-based digital marketing agency Spike has announced another round of recruitment with the hiring of two new staff. Data Analytics Software Engineer, Nasim Ahmed, has been appointed as the agency’s new .NET Developer and Victoria Baker-Haddock has also joined as an Outreach Executive.

This is Nasim’s first role working in the digital marketing sector and he will be working on a number of Data Analytics projects as the Spike team develops more innovative programmes.

Speaking about the new job, Nasim commented: “I just finished my first week at Spike, and it’s been an incredible experience so far. The team is fantastic, and I’m thrilled to be working on some exciting projects. I’m also looking forward to growing my skills and contributing to the company’s mission. It’s great to be a part of such a supportive and collaborative environment.”

Victoria, who has a background in fashion retail and social media, will be working in the Outreach team as the agency’s new Outreach Executive. This comes following Spike’s recent expansion of its Outreach offering, thanks chiefly to a period of strong growth and an increasing number of clients.

Victoria gave her thoughts on her new role, commenting: “I am so excited to be working for such an amazing company, with a group of fantastic people! I’m looking forward to getting stuck in as an Outreach Executive, striving to deliver great work, top results and developing my career within the world of digital marketing.”

Steve Ellerington, Cloud Gateway

Based out of Cloud Gateway’s Huddersfield office, Ellerington will be responsible for supporting the sales strategy across the local government and healthcare teams, ensuring a strong presence in those sectors and identifying new market opportunities.

Ellerington brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role, with a successful record of leading sales teams, driving revenue growth and managing strategic relationships. With extensive knowledge of the public sector and the operational challenges it faces to digitally transform, he will engage with current and future customers to understand their cloud strategies.

Justin Day, CEO and co-founder of Cloud Gateway said: “Steve joins us at the right time and I’m pleased to welcome him to the team. His blend of commercial experience, drive and public sector knowledge will play an important role in supporting our place in the market.”
