Marketing Experts Help Businesses Rise and Shine

A morning of marketing advice by four local experts in their field has been “branded” a success as feeback given by attendees at North Tyneside Business Forum’s “ShowBiz 2023: Rise & Shineevent shows that people were motivated, inspired and ready to make a change in their marketing.

Keynote speaker Laura Middleton from Sunderland runs The Office Rocks which she created in 2015 to engage audiences and drive sales and brand awareness for ecommerce brands. She has built solid, long term relationships with some of the UKs biggest retailers as well as many small businesses. Laura also runs Bump, Baby & You, one of the largest online mother and baby communities in the UK with a monthly reach in excess of 10m. She highlighted the personal ups and downs of running a business and a family and urged delagates to create their own social communities both online and in person.

Geoff Phillips of Wideopen, North Tyneside - based Canvas Marketing took a more strategic approach in his presentation and gave invaluable brand and demand marketing expertise to help businesses grow or scale up.

Keith Newman from Highlights PR explained how to write a good press release and how to take PR photographs that stand out. Keith has the unique distinction of having a floating office – a boat berthed at Royal Quays Marina in North Shields.

Former Chair of the North Tyneside Business Forum, Karen Goldfinch, hosted the event and delievered sound marketing advice based on her work with her own marketing consultancy, Karen Goldfinch – Your Business Pilot. She also facilitated a Q & A marketing session with the panel to answer any delegates questions.

Micheal James from NE1 Web Design who is also a volunteer member of the Forum’s Management Group was delighted with the feedback given by those attending on the day.

“We are a business led Forum and our members told us that they wanted more advice on marketing their business so that is what we delivered. It’s great to see so many businesses taking away useful insights to help them get their business noticed,” he said.
