Clarion launches series of ‘business resilience’ seminars

As organisations of all sizes and across all sectors potentially face turbulence and disruption to their business models, law firm Clarion is bringing together a line-up of experts to share their experience and knowledge at a series of seminars focusing on business resilience.

Hosted by Clarion at its Leeds offices, the three-part seminar series will discuss core themes aimed at protecting businesses and enhancing agility and growth strategies. The first half-day seminar, which takes place on Wednesday 26th April from 8.45am to 1pm, will cover the topics of strategy and innovation, and finance.

A Clarion team comprising Richard Moran, senior partner; Esther Kirwan, partner and head of Intellectual Property; and Ryan Millmore, joint managing partner; will be joined by experts Alex Golledge, Agent, Yorkshire & the Humber at Bank of England; Cat Smith, senior network manager at British Business Bank; and Stuart Nelson, head of European sourcing at Morrisons. The speakers will share insights covering broad macro change dynamics, and dig into how these impact individual business functions, such as finance, people, strategy, sales and marketing, operations and IT.

Richard Moran explains: “From supply chain issues, labour/skills shortages and rising energy costs to cyber threats, inflation and ESG, the list of challenges businesses are facing goes on as they navigate an ever-changing environment. As part of our commitment to supporting businesses, we are hosting this series of seminars with the aim of enhancing resilience and protecting future growth.

“In the first session, we will focus on ways organisations can strategically take advantage of challenging times to support growth and improve competitiveness as well as exploring the funding landscape. We hope leaders from owner managed businesses through to large corporates, will join us to gain valuable insights from our expert speakers.”

A second seminar will take place on Tuesday 16th May covering IT and operations, and risk and quality. The final seminar will be held on Tuesday 6th June, focusing on people and culture, and leadership, purpose and ESG.

Further details about the first free half-day seminar can be found online. Business leaders are welcome to come along to one, two or all three seminars by registering online or contacting Alanta Foley on 07436 032456.
