Bloom and Angelo Gordon get the green light for an ultra-urban warehouse development
Bloom, the ultra-urban industrial investor and developer, has secured planning consent for a sustainable 52,410 sq ft ultra-urban warehouse development in London’s Camberwell.
Located at on Lilford Road in Camberwell, with easy access to the A23, A215 and the South Circular, the development is the fourth ground-up development to be carried out by Bloom for its £250m ultra-urban warehouse joint venture with Angelo Gordon in central London, following consents for projects In Hackney, Brixton and Greenwich.
Bloom will develop nine units, designed by Michael Sparks Associates, laid out over dual two-floor parallel terraces with an open central service yard. Construction will start in July with completion expected in the second quarter of 2024.
The development will be targeting a BREEAM sustainability rating of ‘Excellent’ and an EPC rating of ‘A+’ in accord with Bloom’s core sustainability objective to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through construction and operational efficiency. It will include solar panels and EV charging points to support greener operations, communal staff breakout areas and increased biodiversity on site.

Since the inception of its joint venture with Angelo Gordon in 2021, Bloom has acquired six London assets in Brixton, Greenwich, Hackney, Fulham, Camberwell and Park Royal. The portfolio comprises a mix of extensive refurbishment and ground-up redevelopment projects.
