Greater Manchester Chamber and Greenarc Vehicles announce new partnership

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce and Greenarc Vehicles are launching a new partnership this week to help businesses in the area as they look to transition to greener vehicles and positively impact their carbon emissions.

The new partnership follows the Government’s ban on the sale of new diesel and petrol vehicles from 2030, the growth of clean air zones across the UK and the introduction of attractive tax incentives for electric vehicles. Greenarc Vehicles will use its expertise to help Chamber members make the right decision about their business motoring.

Marc McLoughlin, managing director of Greenarc Vehicles said: “It has never been so complex for businesses to make informed decisions about their company vehicles. Sustainability is top of the agenda when we speak to businesses as they look at ways to reduce their carbon footprint. One of the obvious places to start is their vehicles.

“Very popular now are electric vehicle salary sacrifice schemes as an added benefit to offer employees. These schemes are a fantastic way for businesses to retain and recruit the best staff and improve their green credentials. We can help employers implement such a scheme with our own salary sacrifice scheme.

“If you are a small business with vehicles or an SME looking to introduce a managed company car scheme or a business looking to introduce an electric vehicle salary sacrifice scheme to your employees - we can help! And as part of the wider Greenarc group we can even support you with EV charging points, solar energy, battery storage, carbon offsetting and beyond.”

Lewis Crowe, head of membership & commercial at greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, said: “We believe this new partnership will be of great benefit to our members and comes as we see huge changes in the UK automotive industry. Although the Greater Manchester clean air zone is currently under review, the move to electric vehicles will only increase as we get closer to the ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles.

“Many businesses want to do their bit to help the environment but feel they don’t know enough about electric vehicles to make an informed decision. This new partnership will offer our members expert help and advice to navigate the changing vehicle market. We look forward to working with Greenarc Vehicles and developing this partnership over the coming months.”
