Holden Group to host recruitment day at Royal Norwich Golf Club

Holden Group is hosting a recruitment day for a number of roles and apprenticeships across its group of car dealerships representing Kia, Volvo, Honda, Renault, Dacia and MG in Norwich and the surrounding Norfolk areas.

Due to take place at Royal Norwich Golf Club on Wednesday 17th May from 8.30am to 5pm, the recruitment day will provide an opportunity to meet current members of the Holden team and to find out more about the variety of positions currently available within the group.

The family-owned business has been looking after customers for 95 years, since 1928. Over the past six years it has tripled in size, moving from three sites to six and is now recruiting for a service advisor, a sales manager, four sales executives and a number of service advisor apprentices and technician apprentices.

With 175 colleagues already employed within the business, the Holden Group has a strong track record for nurturing and developing talent.

Martyn Webb, MD of Holden Group, said: “It’s a really special business. The number of colleagues who’ve been here for more than 20 years is testament to that. In fact, one of our team, Richard Waller, has just completed 40 years of service here, having worked for Ernest Holden (Tim’s grandfather), Tony Holden (Tim’s father), and for Tim.

“At the same time, it’s a forward-looking business that is moving with the times, embracing the acceleration in EV car technology, sustainable business initiatives and championing diversity in our industry. We recently welcomed our first two female apprentice technicians to the team and we’re looking forward to giving attendees an insight into the career opportunities that are open to everyone at our recruitment day next week.”

Holden Group is also forward-thinking in its approach to the benefits it offers to colleagues. Cheryl Duale, Operations Director, explains: “We acknowledge that our team members are all on their own journey. We believe that the more we teach them and the better we treat them, the longer their journey with us will be. A couple of good examples of the way we put that into practice are by offering every member of our team one-to-one life coaching and an annual personal learning budget of £150 to spend on whatever they want to. Some of our team members have learned to cook, dance, scuba dive, play instruments and learn languages.”
