Ainscough Crane Hire launches new Cambridgeshire depot in St. Neots
Ainscough Crane Hire has unveiled its latest depot, based in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire. This new location consolidates the UK’s leading crane company’s proximity in the key regions of Milton Keynes, Cambridge and Northampton.
The new site is located on Marston Road in St. Neots, after moving from Ainscough’s previous hub at Alconbury Airfield and comes as the team looks to increasingly engage with major upcoming developments across the region.
The new depot will also mean Ainscough is well placed to support on projects brought forward as a result of the proposed Investment Zone in the East Midlands.
Fully covered, the new facility offers several benefits including: the housing 16 cranes; an all-encompassing workshop capable of fully servicing any three cranes at one time, and an inspection pit.
In addition, there is also a double stack portacabin, which houses main and offshoot offices, a meeting room, and a drivers refreshment area, with showers and other amenities. The improvement re-affirms Ainscough’s commitment to constantly reviewing and improving working conditions for its employees.
The new depot also offers several advantages, including better security, with an electronic gate only accessible to key holders. Alongside this, a more up-to-date workshop being installed guarantees a higher level of service for the cranes themselves.
Lee Smith, manager of the new St. Neots depot said: “As a team, we have been excited for some time to get the new depot fully operational. The move has proved a brilliant exercise in reviewing our offering and ensuring our facilities are up to Ainscough’s high standards.
“We’ve been able to target the necessary improvements needed to bring this facility up to standard and improve not only our services to clients, but our service to our colleagues. We’re especially looking forward to working and engaging with local businesses and the wider community – the improved catchment area is a real plus.”
