Caroline Nemeck, David Morris, Marti Burgess and Ben Harris: Knights
Professional services business Knights has hired three Partners and a Senior Associate in Bristol – just weeks after arriving in the city through acquisition. Partners Caroline Nemecek, David Morris and Marti Burgess have joined the team alongside Senior Associate Ben Harris.
Marti Burgess and Ben Harris join Knights’ Corporate team. Marti has more than 20 years’ experience of working with small and medium-sized businesses – and is well-known in Bristol and the South West.
Marti Burgess commented: “It feels like a great time to join Knights. The business is growing here in Bristol and adding new offices across the country. That will bring huge opportunities for our clients.”
Residential Property Partner Caroline Nemecek specialises in high-value property transactions of all kinds, working alongside property and agricultural clients to provide a bespoke, personal service. Construction Partner David Morris brings his significant experience and well-established local network.
David Morris added: “I’m really excited for the next stage of my career at Knights. Bristol is a fantastic market which suits Knights’ approach and enables us all to do more for our clients. I can’t wait to get going.”

Phil Parsons, Aibytech
Manchester based baby-tech firm, Aibytech, has appointed former Dyson EMEA president, Phil Parsons, as its chairman and CEO.
Previously European and Middle East president at Dyson, Parsons brings a wealth of technology and engineering experience to the fast-growing startup which will help Aibytech transform how families experience tech-led baby products.
Phil commented: “Aibytech is at a critical moment in its journey, as we aim to finish the first phase of our product development. Having worked in the technology sector and multiple markets for 15 years, I am looking forward to using that knowledge to help build the commercial and operational functions we need for rapid and sustainable growth.
“Baby-tech is a relatively underserved market, making it prime for disruption and Aibytech is at the forefront of that movement. I can’t wait to get stuck into this next phase of growth.”
Aibytech founder, Stephen Senior, added: “We are at a hugely exciting time in our journey, as we welcome Phil to help steer and guide our growth strategy, while also launching our latest funding round.
“This investment will help drive our ambitious plans for research and development, enabling us to introduce landmark products that will redefine the baby-tech industry. We extend a warm welcome to Phil and look forward to seeing what lies ahead for Aibytech with him at the helm.”
Sarah Lawson Johnston and Sarah Whitfield, Covatic
Covatic, developer of a privacy-first audience targeting solution, has announced two new appointments to strengthen its leadership team. Sarah Lawson Johnston has joined the company as chief revenue officer (CRO), while Sarah Whitfield has been appointed chief marketing officer (CMO).
Lawson Johnston brings two decades of leadership experience in the advertising technology industry to Covatic; having previously spent three years as part of the company’s launch team.
Familiar with the business as a current chair of the board, she will devise the long-term vision for the company as the new CRO, working closely with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to implement strategies that promote business growth.
Lawson Johnston commented: “I have seen Covatic grow from its early beginnings and am incredibly proud of what it has achieved so far. As the advertising industry deepens its focus on users’ privacy, our technology is the perfect answer for businesses moving forward.”
Whitfield joins Covatic from Pearson, a global learning company, where she worked as Vice President of Global Marketing, driving the digital transformation of marketing across direct-to-consumer and business-to-business globally.
She previously held several senior leadership roles, including VP of Marketing Communications, Global at AOL, VP of Global Marketing Programmes & Corporate Communications at Outbrain, and as VP of Marketing at Buzzoole Group.
Whitfield added: “It’s exciting to be joining Covatic at a time when the advertising industry is coming to terms with new privacy legislations and user protection. Covatic’s cutting-edge technology puts us in a position of strength in the market, offering innovative solutions that will change how advertisers effectively target and interact with audiences.”
