Adlington Retirement Living welcomes first homeowners to new retirement community in Yorkshire
Adlington Retirement Living’s new retirement community in Menston, near Ilkley in West Yorkshire, has now opened.
The Spindles, on Bradford Road, which offers 72 age-exclusive one, two and three-bedroomed apartments is busy welcoming homeowners.
Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We are excited to be welcoming our first homeowners to The Spindles. Our General Manager Carla Barnes and her team are ready to provide an outstanding service. There’s a real buzz about the place.”
The retirement community offers new friendships, social occasions, and activities that homeowners can dip into whenever the mood takes them. When they want to spend some quiet time in their own company, they have a beautiful, self-contained apartment where they can relax.
Alexandra Johnson adds: “Since our marketing suite opened in the autumn, we’ve been inundated with enquiries from potential homeowners booking a tour of The Spindles. In fact, 20% of the apartments have now sold, with 10 of our new homeowners having moved in already and six more set to move in this month.”
The communal facilities at The Spindles include a coffee lounge, restaurant, homeowners’ Lounge, a hair salon, therapy suite, activities studio and cinema room, as well as a guest suite with en-suite for visiting friends and family who wish to stay overnight.
The 24-hour on-site support team provides homeowners with peace of mind and, if needed, optional personal care packages are available. In addition to this, there is a sophisticated emergency call system and a security video entry system to manage access.
Four of Adlington’s communities have won awards for the Best Retirement Development at the WhatHouse? Awards, the UK housebuilding’s most prestigious event. The Folds in Romiley and the Bridges in Macclesfield won the Silver Award in 2020 and 2019, Adlington House in Otley won the Gold Award in 2017 and Adlington House in Portishead won the Bronze Award in 2015.
Adlington Retirement Living was also crowned Seniors Housing Developer of the Year and its new retirement community in Heaton Mersey, Stockport, won Seniors Housing Scheme of the Year at the HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards 2022.
