Audio-visual specialists collaborate on “impressive” new Leeds landmark office

Globe Point, an “impressive” new office building, located in the heart of Temple Leeds District has opened, boasting “high quality finishes, a welcoming reception”, café kitchen, collaborative break out workspaces and connections at street level to Leeds city centre.

Developer CEG and contracted construction company BAM approached audio visual specialists Universal AV to curate audio visual solutions for both the reception and atrium area, after working successfully alongside the team on a project at Leeds University.

The brief was to deliver high-quality audio-visual communication solutions that would provide tenants and visitors with an effective source of information and entertainment. Concepts for a multimedia LED solution were produced and modified as the brief from Globe Point developed.

The team at Universal AV worked to simplify the functionality of the solutions for ease of use whilst maintaining critical components needed for the space. Key stakeholders from Globe Point worked alongside Universal AV and together they ensured a successful implementation that was carried out within a set timeframe and budget.

Laura Hughes, front of house manager at Globe Point, commented: “We have had a great experience with Universal AV to help us set up our media wall. Their staff were helpful when everything was being set up and they have been prompt and friendly to work with when issues have arisen.”

Programming and training took place after the installation was complete with building management and team members. Standout features include a large LED wall and functionality that allows the concierge to amend feeds on the screen, creating welcome messages to visitors to the building quite simply at the touch of a button.

Nick Fitzpatrick, managing director at Universal AV, added: “It was great to partner with BAM construction again and be introduced to Commercial Estates Group to deliver the first new build in Leeds since the pandemic.

“A statement built for the new Temple district with technology that provides up to date communication and the wow factor in a relaxed communal area. Flexibility and ease of use were at the core of all conversations and I believe we delivered it.”

The Globe Point building now forms the gateway to the Temple neighbourhood, with its 40,430 square ft of Grade A space spanning over seven floors. It features a roof terrace, offering spectacular views perfect for meeting and entertaining.
