Kirstie Kelly, Louise Tinkler & Jeff Boyd, Bernicia
Bernicia has further strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of three new directors into key roles within the business.
Highly experienced housing professional Kirstie Kelly joins Bernicia as the new Director of Housing Services, while Louise Tinkler and Jeff Boyd are promoted into the roles of Director of People Services and Director of Development respectively.
“I am delighted to be joining Bernicia at such an exciting time, driving forward their ambitious corporate strategy until 2026 and allowing me the opportunity to be part of shaping their housing and communities agenda,” said Kirstie. “I was attracted to Bernicia as an organisation due its positive reputation for strong governance and investment in service and communities which truly does make a difference to people’s lives.”

Louise Buckton, Gentoo
Gentoo has welcomed Louise Buckton as its new Construction Director. Louise will join Gentoo’s Homes and Development Team, providing leadership support to the Technical, Construction and Affordable Delivery Teams.
Louise joins the Group after 3 years at Equans, where she was New Build Director. She has worked in the industry for 26 years and brings a wealth of knowledge in housing and construction, previously working for Beyond Housing, Kier and Esh Construction.
Louise will lead on the delivery of Gentoo’s ambitious Homes and Development growth plan, which involves the construction of 400 new build homes per year. The homes will be available for outright sale, Affordable Rent, Rent to Buy and Shared Ownership.
Speaking of her appointment, Louise said: “I’m delighted to be joining Gentoo at what is an exciting and evolving time for the organisation. Having worked with Gentoo closely throughout my career, I am looking forward to having a positive impact on decision making here and guiding the Homes and Development Team to create brilliant new homes for customers and tenants.”
Joanne Gordon, homes and development director at Gentoo said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Louise to Gentoo. Her work and achievements at our partner organisations show she has outstanding knowledge and skills in the housing sector and will be a brilliant addition to Gentoo.”
Seven appointments, Deloitte
Deloitte continues to invest in its regional business by promoting seven people to director in the Newcastle office where a total of 100 people have been promoted across all grades and businesses.
The seven people promoted to director are Leah Kindleyside and Rachael Hall in Tax & Legal, Anna Earnden, Stuart Kenny, Davinder Kandola and Sarah Hellens in Audit & Assurance and Anton Moden in Financial Advisory.
Stephen Hall, office senior partner at Deloitte in Leeds, said: “It makes me feel very proud to announce the promotion of our people here in the North East. This year we have seven people promoted to director which is a fantastic achievement and another 93 promotions across all grades and businesses. These promotions are testament to everyone’s hard work.
