West Yorkshire based estate agency celebrates selling £34.5m worth of homes

A West Yorkshire estate agency which specialises in selling fine, country and period homes has sold subject to contract properties with a total value of £34.5m since the start of the year.

Charnock Bates, which has offices in Halifax, Huddersfield and Ripponden, has sold subject to contract 67 homes with an average selling price of £515k. The homes sold by the estate agency include Bottoms Farm, Keighley and Acre House, Hebden Bridge.

Founded 30 years ago, Charnock Bates was acquired by West Yorkshire based property consultancy Walker Singleton in 2015. Since then, the estate agency has continued to grow with the average marketing price of its available properties being £600k.

Charnock Bates currently has 94 properties listed for sale including Gailowind, a seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom home in Slant Gate, near Huddersfield, which is offered in excess of £2.75m.

In addition, the estate agency is currently offering for sale the Hartley Royd Estate, a seven-bedroom period home along with two detached cottages, barn and approximately 58 acres, in Shaw, Lancashire, at offers in excess of £1.95m.
