"Tantalising" Newcastle Indo-Chinese fast food street kitchen announces opening date
Wok India, the ‘eagerly awaited’ fast food street kitchen, is preparing to make its grand debut in Newcastle, ushering in a fusion of Indo-Chinese cuisine that has the city “buzzing with anticipation”.
With a “tantalising” blend of Indian and Chinese flavours, Wok India promises to deliver a “truly unique and mouth-watering dining experience unlike anything seen before in Newcastle”.
Elahi Shah Amin, director of Wok India, commented: “Having witnessed the immense popularity and demand for this cuisine during our visit to India, we are thrilled to finally introduce this exciting new concept to the city.
“The authentic flavours of this cuisine will be brought to life by our team of native chefs. Our city is known for its vibrant food culture, and we believe Wok India will fit right in. Our existing Indo-Chinese items on the My Delhi menu, such as Cauliflower Manchurian and Crispy Chicken Momos, are already a hit with our customers at the restaurant.”
“We’re delighted to introduce Wok India to the community, and the buzz and anticipation have been incredible. We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our builders for the amazing transformation inside, creating a modern fast food takeaway ambience. We truly hope that people enjoy it as much as they have with My Delhi!”
The menu, recently unveiled on their Facebook page, offers an array of Indo-Chinese delights. Alongside the beloved classics such as Manchurian dishes and Crispy Momos, Wok India presents its own “unique twists” on the cuisine.
A spokesperson added: “Prepare your taste buds for an explosion of flavour with signature dishes like Dragon Meatballs and Chicken Wings with Schezwan Zing. Each item on the menu showcases the skillful artistry of Wok India’s culinary team, crafted with precision and passion.”
Wok India’s grand opening is scheduled for Wednesday July 5 and it will feature “captivating” entertainment, including a mesmerising Chinese dragon dance and Indian dhol performances, before officially opening its doors to the public.
