Stärka adds to its team with Bruntwood hire as the business' growth continues

Stärka, the innovative leisure real estate advisory business founded by Sammy Jones and David Bell, has appointed Lauren Gavaghan as Acquisitions and Development Consultant. Joining Stärka from Bruntwood, Lauren will help grow the business’ client base and support recent agency client wins, including Gravity, Bean Coffee Roasters and Parthian Climbing.

With over 8 years’ experience, Lauren began her career in this sector at JLL in the retail and leisure agency team advising a range of leading operators, landlords and developers. More recently, she has worked as a Development Manager at Bruntwood, Cityheart and Genr8, working on the delivery of some of the largest regeneration projects in the UK.

Her new position at Stärka will see Lauren providing strategic advice on leisure, hospitality and placemaking for clients, in addition to using her experience to provide development and regeneration consultancy to landlords, developers and Local Authorities.

Lauren Gavaghan said: “Stärka is one of the most forward-thinking and committed teams in the industry, and it has been inspiring to watch its growth over the last 18 months. I am excited to have the opportunity to join the dynamic team, and I am in the right place to add the most value to the industry I am so passionate about.”

Sammy Jones, co-founder of Stärka, added: “Lauren is a fantastic hire, with her agency and client-side experience something we were keen to add to our team. Lauren is going to play a key role assisting our clients with their development strategies, while also helping us grow the depth and breadth of our client base. Her passion, energy and enthusiasm are all attributes that echo our own company ethos, and she is a perfect fit.”

Lauren’s appointment follows a series of high-profile client wins for Stärka this year, including sole agency instructions to lead the expansion of Gravity, which will launch its flagship Gravity Max at Liverpool ONE later this year, Parthian Climbing, which has just opened its first site in London at Southside in Wandsworth, and Bean Coffee Roasters, the North West-based independent coffee operator that is expanding across the region.
