OMG UK announces plans to create up to 170 jobs with new office in Newcastle
Newcastle upon Tyne, UK Omnicom Media Group UK, part of one of the world’s largest communications groups, has announced plans to open a new office in Newcastle, creating up to 170 jobs over the next three years.
Headquartered in London, OMG UK’s investment in Newcastle follows the successful launch of another Omnicom Group agency, Credera, in 2022. The investment will see up to 170 jobs created for local residents, with a range of entry level apprenticeships available as well as more senior positions, including a new Managing Director.
OMG UK also intends to sign up to the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s Good Work Pledge and is looking to form partnerships with the city’s universities and college groups to help nurture local talent and create new opportunities for graduates.
Talent and skills are at the heart of OMG UK’s decision to invest in Newcastle, with the group recognising the significant expertise of the digital professionals living, working and studying in the city.
OMG is also committed to ensuring a representative and diverse workforce across its UK operations, with another office in Manchester strengthening its presence across the North of England and offering clients based outside of London a new hub to cater to their specific needs and growth strategies.

£895,000 will be awarded through the North of Tyne Combined Authority’s Inward Investment Fund to facilitate the creation of up to 170 new jobs, with local partners such as RMT accountants and global law firm DWF also working closely with the group.
Elected Metro Mayor for the North of Tyne, Jamie Driscoll, said: “This is music to my ears. I’m pleased that we’ve been able to support OMG creating up to 170 jobs, at all levels, for local residents. The North-East is where it’s all happening a fantastic place to live and work.”
