'Innovative' new venture service delivers in London
HumanForest, the company behind London’s sustainable shared eBikes, has launched a new venture, Forest Parcel, a zero-emission, on-demand parcel delivery service allowing Londoners and businesses to send packages across the city.
Despite 87 percent of Londoners reported to be motivated to help tackle climate change, parcel delivery in London is set to double in the next five years to one billion packages annually. This will lead to increased road congestion and air pollution.
HumanForest’s new eParcel service is zero emission, utilising the company’s existing fleet of e-bikes. Sustainability is at the core of the business which was founded to help improve air quality in London.
Deliveries are bookable through the Parcel website and the parcel must weigh less than five kilograms.
Since launching in 2020, HumanForest has been trailblazing affordable and sustainable transport. The eBikes have completed over 2 million rides and helped to avoid 350 tonnes of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere. This new delivery platform was created on the back of demand from existing HumanForest customers who told the company that they wanted more ways to reduce their carbon footprint on a daily basis.
Agustin Guilisasti, HumanForest CEO and founder said: “Launching Forest Parcel is another way for us to help improve air quality and decarbonise London. Our customers want everyday solutions to the climate crisis and this zero-emission, on-demand courier service gives Londoners that. Left your keys at home again? Don’t fear - Forest Parcel is here!”
Eugenia Sepulveda, HumanForest Parcel Lead, said: “This project is an innovative and natural next step for HumanForest. We are proud to have built the offering and the technology needed to facilitate London’s first and only zero-emissions, on-demand parcel service.”
