Northern England’s “biggest ever” Oktoberfest coming to central Newcastle

The team behind the popular Central Park, World Cup Fanzone, Paddy Fest and Oktoberfest Newcastle, ‘Two Tribes Organisation’, are back at Times Square this October for what is set to be the biggest “Oktoberfest” in the North.

Oktoberfest Newcastle boasts to have the biggest Bavarian-themed party tent that the North of England has ever seen, with an event capacity of almost 4000 people every Saturday.

Featuring a full traditionally dressed German marque filled with party benches adorned in the Bavarian blue and white chequered table cloths, some of the best “oompah” bands from across Europe, as well as a wide range of authentic German beers and food.

The event will take place between Friday October 13 through to 28, every Friday and Saturday. Tickets are now on sale, with “huge anticipation” for another hugely successful year.

The organiser also noted the following as ‘key points’ of the event:

  • A 2,000-capacity authentic Bavarian-style beer hall
  • Now spread over three weekends in October with nine sessions to choose from
  • 100s of party benches in traditional Bavarian tablecloths
  • Featuring “some of Europe’s best” Bavarian Oompah bands
  • Bratwurst, CurryWurst, Frankfurters all brought to attendee’s tables
  • A “great selection” of German wheat Beers and lager
  • Hosts/hostesses in traditional German lederhosen and dirndls.

Mike Hesketh from Two Tribes Organisation commented: “Oktoberfest just keeps getting bigger and better every year! The popularity of the event celebrations seems to be growing year after year, with more and more dressing up in traditional Bavarian attire!

“This year not only are we supersizing the Oktoberfest tent together with more décor and production, but have also added more dates to the diary, setting it up to be a huge month of partying at Times Square!”
