Yorkshire retirement community is on track to become a sell-out success

Homeowners have now moved into 64 of the 65 luxury apartments at a luxury retirement community on Troutbeck Road in Sheffield.

Jacobs Gate, specially designed for those over the age of 65, welcomed its first homeowners in December 2020 and will be the twelfth Adlington Retirement Living community to sell-out.

Alexandra Johnson, Sales and Marketing Director for Adlington Retirement Living, said: “We’re really pleased to have welcomed homeowners to 64 of our 65 apartments at Jacobs Gate. There’s just one, two-bedroomed apartment remaining, which we’re sure will be snapped up soon. There’s a real sense of community there and it’s wonderful to see so many homeowners enjoying their retirement.”

Talks and special events are regularly delivered with guest speakers, authors and performers. The 24-hour on-site support teams also provide homeowners with peace of mind and outstanding service for homeowners.

Dr Ed Gladman, CEO of Adlington Retirement Living, believes Jacobs Gate is a wonderful example of a new blueprint for retirement living: “Adlington’s vision is to empower our older generation to live a long, happy and healthy life. We do that by creating safe and secure environments with active communities, extensive facilities, and spacious, quality homes.

“Moving to a retirement living community offers an opportunity for our homeowners to remain independent with the reassurance of support, right on their doorstep. They don’t have to worry about the maintenance and upkeep of a house, so they can spend more time socialising and doing the things they love.”

Through its partnerships with local CQC qualified care providers, every community also offers consistently high standards of tailored personal care packages to homeowners in need of assistance. Care provision is completely flexible, allowing the team to arrange short-term support for post-operative care or after an illness, or more long-term assisted living.

Adlington Retirement Living was crowned Seniors Housing Developer of the Year and its retirement community in Heaton Mersey, Stockport, won Seniors Housing Scheme of the Year at the HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards 2022. Four of Adlington’s communities have also won Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards for the Best Retirement Development at the WhatHouse? Awards, the UK housebuilding’s most prestigious event.

Other recently opened communities include The Spindles in Menston, Yorkshire, The Sidings in Lytham, Lancashire and The Woodlands in Heaton Mersey, Stockport. Three more communities are due to open in the next year: The Newells in Kempston, Bedfordshire; Broadleaf House in Wylde Green, Sutton Coldfield; and Brookfields House in Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire.
