Jet2 announces expansion of Summer 2024 programme following strong demand
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have once again responded to the continued strong demand from holidaymakers and independent travel agents by expanding their Summer 24 programme, including the addition of three new routes.
The expansion has seen the companies add two new routes from Birmingham Airport, Tivat (Montenegro) and Lesvos, as well as a new route to Verona from Glasgow Airport. This means that Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate well over 400 routes from across 11 UK airports in Summer 24, with over 17 million seats on sale in total.
The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline have responded to demand from customers and independent travel agents by adding flights and holidays to Tivat in Montenegro for Summer 24 from Birmingham Airport, with flights operating from May 2 through to October 31.
A weekly Thursday service will operate from May 2, with a second weekly service (Monday) coming into operation from July 1. This means Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will operate to Tivat from three UK airports in Summer 24 (Birmingham, Manchester and London Stansted).
Montenegro offers customers a “wealth of history and culture alongside stunning scenery and weather”. With resorts on offer including Budvar, Becici and Kotor Bay, customers can enjoy mountains, natural parks, lakes, beaches and port towns in this “incredible” destination.
The second new route from Birmingham Airport for Summer 24 is the sun-kissed island of Lesvos, with weekly Sunday services operating from May 26 through to October 6. In addition to this new route, the companies have also added a second weekly service to Lesvos from London Stansted Airport for Summer 24.
Holidaymakers and independent travel agents in the Glasgow area are also offered more choice as a result of today’s announcement, thanks to the launch of flights, city breaks and holidays to Lake Garda and Verona. From May 8 through to September 25, the companies will operate weekly Wednesday services to Verona Airport.
Steve Heapy, CEO, commented: “As well as looking forward to a busy Summer 23, we are also seeing lots of customers want to book ahead for next summer which is great news. In response to that, we are moving to give customers and independent travel agents even more choice thanks to the launch of three brand new routes for Summer 24.
“This expansion further strengthens a programme which is already our biggest ever, and we know that it will be very popular with customers and independent travel agents right across each airport region.”
