Charlotte Parker, InterBay
OSB Group has promoted Charlotte Parker to specialist finance account manager (SFAM) for the south of England at commercial, semi-commercial and buy-to-let lender InterBay.
Charlotte, has been with the Group since 2019, joins InterBay’s highly experienced team of SFAMs, which supports brokers and their clients with larger and more complex borrowing needs.
She moves into this position from her former role as dual-branded business development manager (BDM), providing brokers with financial solutions from Kent Reliance for Intermediaries and Precise Mortgages. Before joining OSB Group, Charlotte, who has been CeMap qualified for 17 years, worked as a mortgage broker for nine years.
Marc Callaghan, head of specialist finance, commented: “I’m delighted that Charlotte has joined our team of SFAMs. She has demonstrated great expertise in her former roles and her determination to find the best solutions for clients will stand her in great stead at InterBay.
“I have no doubt that Charlotte will be a huge asset to the team and the brokers they support. At OSB Group we are passionate about career development and helping our colleagues to grow.
Charlotte added: “The dual branded role has led to me wanting to explore other areas of the business, specifically commercial and bridging, where I can be more involved in building the case and getting closer to the transaction. I am looking forward to meeting up with some of my existing brokers, meeting new ones and discussing how we can really help their clients.”
Keith Nicholson, SIAMP UK
SIAMP UK has announced the appointment of Keith Nicholson as contract sales manager. Keith joins the UK sales subsidiary of SIAMP with a wealth of experience to his name in the construction industry including being involved in large infrastructure projects such as HS2 and multiple defence projects in the UK and overseas.
The new SIAMP UK contract sales manager has also worked on landmark commercial projects for Microsoft and Google, as well as the redevelopment of Battersea and the NHS Nightingale Hospitals, which were historically set up as part of the response to COVID-19.
Based on the Norfolk coast, Keith enjoys mountain biking, playing football and going to the gym in his spare time, while he also enjoys coaching grassroots football and travelling, as well as writing and remixing house music. A keen musician from a young age, Keith once stood in as a backing singer for one of The Drifters at a charity event.
Having studied technical design and engineering, before moving into a sales role by chance, Keith has worked for blue-chip market leading organisations, where he has pushed himself to learn and improve his overall knowledge. He now takes this experience to SIAMP UK, where he will work alongside SIAMP UK commercial manager Ross Rigby.
Keith commented: “In my role, I love knowing that I have had a hand in helping designers make informed decisions on their product choice, something that I am incredibly excited to be continuing here at SIAMP, and I am looking forward to continuing existing partnerships, as well as bringing in new projects.”
Ashley Shires, managing director of SIAMP UK, added: “Keith is a fantastic addition to the SIAMP team here in the UK, and one which is already having a hugely positive impact on our commercial projects. Keith brings with him a wealth of experience in the industry and we are looking forward to the great benefits which he will bring to the team.”
Gemma Hedges, HWB Chartered Accountants
Associate director Gemma Hedges has been promoted to director at Hampshire based HWB Chartered Accountants. She joins the board as part of the chartered accountancy and business and tax advisory firm’s strategic continuing growth.
Gemma, who joined HWB Chartered Accountants as a senior tax manager in January 2020 from Top Four Accountancy firm PwC after 10 years at BDO, was promoted to associate director in July 2021.
She is a private client tax advisory specialist working with individuals and owner-managed businesses, covering a broad range of areas from company incorporation and sales to probate and administration of estates.
With nearly two decades’ experience, she advises across a range of sectors, particularly focussing on the tax implications of a variety of situations individuals may find themselves in, including moving house, marriage, divorce, children/grandchildren and death.
Gemma (pictured left) commented: “I was humbled to have been made a Director. My intention is to continue to use my skills to ensure that HWB Chartered Accountants’ reputation for second-to-none customer service grows even further.
“My role is to help clients understand tax implications and what are the best actions they can take. It is incredibly varied and rewarding as no two cases are the same. Stepping up from Associate Director means I am also able to play a greater role in the day-to-day running of the business, helping to shape the huge opportunity that exists to drive the firm forwards.”
Tracy Jenkins, managing director (pictured right), added: “It is always good to see people progress and this promotion is well justified. It is also a demonstration that at HWB we also make a promotion when someone deserves it, regardless of length of service. It’s all about the quality of the person, and Gemma has that in spades.”
