Warwickshire accountants to support access to £360,000 fund
A Warwickshire accountancy firm will be supporting businesses to access a £360,000 fund through its partnership with a major cloud accounting software provider. Burgis & Bullock, which has offices in Leamington, Nuneaton, Rugby and Stratford-upon-Avon, is seeking to help small businesses to access a new fund from Xero.
Cloud-accounting platform Xero has launched the Xero Beautiful Business Fund which is making £360,000 of funding available for its small business customers. Burgis & Bullock is a Platinum partner for Xero and as Xero Certified Advisers have delivered hundreds of hours of training for clients on the platform over the last few years. The fund is targeted at helping small businesses in seven countries to grow and innovate, and applications open on Wednesday, August 23.
It includes four categories which are focused on innovating for sustainability, trailblazing with technology, strengthening community connection, and upskilling for the future. Applications for the fund will close on October 6, with successful applicants revealed in November 2023.
Sean Farnell, Partner at Burgis & Bullock, is calling for businesses to get in touch for advice on how to best apply for funding. He said: “This is a fund aimed at Xero’s target market of small to medium sized business. It’s a great opportunity for any growing business that is looking for support to go to the next level, or those that have requirements around reskilling and improving technology. “We’ve been Platinum partners with Xero for more than five years and at that level we are able to advise on what Xero are looking for in applications and the types of project they like to support.
“Xero as a platform make a big difference for business owners, allowing them to streamline internal processes and free up time to work on growing their business, and this fund could provide another big boost to a small business. “We would encourage any business to get in touch with us for advice on how to access the Beautiful Business Fund, whether they are existing clients or prospective new clients.”
