Law firm relocates to newly redesigned, sustainable West Midlands office

National law firm Weightmans has relocated its Birmingham operations in a move which solidifies its commitment to sustainable and responsible business.

The firm moved to 103 Colmore Row, Birmingham’s tallest office building, from its previous premises of St Philips Point last month after 17 years.

The office is home to more than 160 Weightmans employees. The redesign and fit-out, which was delivered by Overbury, began in Spring 2023 and offers a fully hybrid working experience, with ergonomic furniture, a social hub and bespoke client suite. Suzanne Leo, Partner at Delva Patman Redler was the firm’s Employers Agent for the move.

Partner and head of the Birmingham office Jawaid Rehman commented: “This is an exciting time for us. We are delighted to provide an incredibly intuitive and activity led environment, fostering teamwork and allowing our people to work in a more efficient and creative way.

“In recent years we have really embraced ESG principles and worked hard to embed sustainability into our business as usual, our new office is part of this plan, as the new site offers low impact environmental footprint and a host of other ethical and emission reducing benefits.

“This move also demonstrates our long-term commitment to the community and industry in Birmingham and the Midlands region and look forward to welcoming guests to Colmore Row.”

Michele Clifton, account manager at Overbury, added: “The collaboration with The Weightmans’ team has been an exceptional experience, there’s been a strong sense of partnership between us. Throughout the process, we’ve worked closely together to create a space that reflects their brand and aligns with their vision.

“The design tastefully incorporates the magnificent views, ensuring a great journey from the outset for both clients and colleagues. Our joint efforts have created a space that truly surpasses expectations.”
