New Ride-hailing platform now available in Luton
FREENOW, the Mobility Super App, is announcing the launch of its taxi and minicab service in Luton, giving residents and visitors a safe, reliable, convenient and cost-effective way to move around. The FREENOW app, allows passengers to quickly book a cab while tracking the fare and time of arrival of their ride in real-time.
This service launch follows the recent sponsorship announcement to Luton Town Football Club as FREENOW becomes their first official shirt sleeve sponsor and the team’s official mobility partner as the club starts its epic journey into the Premier League.
With over 48 million users globally, the FREENOW app is currently available across 150 cities in Europe, including London, Manchester and Edinburgh. Besides cabs, users can also access the largest number of vehicles in one app, which in London includes e-scooters and e-bikes.
John, A FREENOW taxi driver, said: “I’m delighted that Luton taxi drivers are able to use the FREENOW app in the area. The service is easy to use and gives drivers access to a huge customer base from the UK but also from Europe, increasing the chance to get more jobs, particularly important now that Luton Town is in the Premier League and many football fans will be travelling into town.”
Mariusz Zabrocki, UK general manager at FREENOW UK, said: “Following our partnership with Luton Town Football Club, we are delighted to launch our FREENOW service in Luton, where we will have 700 taxis and minicabs ready to be booked to start with.
“This expansion will allow us to support residents and visitors, particularly fans of Luton Town F.C. and other football clubs, to move around in an effortless and convenient way while supporting local cab drivers by giving them access to more jobs and other unique advantages, such as support with EV transition, that they can access by using our app.”
