The Inn Collection Group announces multi-million-pound renovation at two hotels

A multi-million-pound renovation is currently underway to convert two hotels that had seen better days, into an attractive, modern, family inn on the seafront at Lytham St Annes.

The former Lindum and Carlton hotels have been merged together to create a new 98-bed venue called Offshore, on behalf of new owners, The Inn Collection Group.

Silverstone Building Consultancy’s Leeds office is acting as project manager for the revamp which includes full refurbishment of all the bedrooms, the addition of an extension to the front, a new bar, restaurant and catering facilities.

Making the most of the position on the Lancashire coast, a large external terrace is also being created to offer outdoor seating which overlooks St Anne’s Pier and the Ribble Estuary. The roof and windows will also be replaced, and a new kitchen installed and the exterior elevations, freshly rendered.

Ben Rennocks, director at Silverstone Building Consultancy’s Leeds office, commented: “We have two surveyors working on the project and works are progressing well on site.

“It’s incredibly satisfying to see the transformation of the old, dilapidated hotels into the new modern facility. On completion, it will be a great-looking venue with quality amenities that make the most of its wonderful, coastal views.”

The principal contractor is Manchester based Medlock, GSS are the architects, Maughan Reynolds Partnership have carried out the structural and civil engineering works, Sine have designed the mechanical and electrical installations and Design North have created the interior designs.

Louise Stewart, property director at The Inn Collection Group, added: “This major investment is creating a vibrant new facility for the community and visitors to enjoy, which will also contribute to the wider economy of Lytham St Annes. We have rejuvenated the site whilst still retaining its character to deliver a relaxed, welcoming beachside venue.”

Offshore will officially open its doors to guests in the New Year (2024).

Silverstone Building Consultancy, a firm of chartered building surveyors and project managers with offices in Leeds, Newcastle and London, has previously managed the restoration of a number of hotels within the Inn Collection Group’s portfolio, including The Harrogate Inn, Ripon Spa Hotel and the former Park Hotel, Tynemouth.
