National real estate consultancy announces new Leeds office and team expansion

Real estate consultancy Naismiths has solidified its position in Leeds with the opening of a new office space, following team and service expansion in the region.

The UK-wide consultancy has recently grown its work in project monitoring, building consultancy and restructuring and advisory services to schemes in the North East and has recruited new surveyors to support the success.

Phil Errington, director at Naismiths and regional project monitoring lead, commented: “The expansion of our team and service offering in the north has been fantastic to see, and the new Leeds office marks a key milestone for us.

“It’s so important that as we continue to grow, we have a base where we can work flexibly and support each other in person as well as from home or out on site.

“Having worked on projects covering Yorkshire and the north east for several years, it’s a poignant moment to now be setting down physical roots in the city during our 60th year of business. We’re eager to maintain this growth momentum by onboarding more experts as we have done recently.”

In addition to the office space opening, Naismiths has welcomed Phil Darwent and Louis Curtis as a senior surveyor and surveyor respectively. Boasting 22 years of experience, Phil has worked in private quantity surveying for the duration of his career and moved to Naismiths for a new opportunity to expand his skills set.

Louis’ experience in residential surveying is already being utilised across Naismiths’ schemes. The pair will be part of the project monitoring team.

Louis added: “My background is in fund monitoring surveying and when I joined Naismiths I was eager to continue to develop my experience in this area. Similarly, becoming chartered is a huge milestone in a surveyor’s career, and at my previous company I started working towards this.

“Naismiths has been completely on board in not only allowing me to continue with my chartership but supporting and guiding me in the studies with their expertise, which I’m grateful to benefit from.”
