This week’s Yorkshire appointments: Featuring CloudCoCo, Crest Nicholson and more
This week’s round-up of Yorkshire appointments includes CloudCoCo, Crest Nicholson and Benenden Health. Read on to find out more…
Mark Allen, CloudCoCo
Leeds headquartered CloudCoCo has announced another strategic hire, as the transformational technology specialist furthers its quest to reach £100m turnover.
Head of cyber Mark Allen is the latest addition to the senior team, bringing with him 18 years of technical and commercial industry experience. Having worked for a number of telecoms, software, and digital transformation organisations during his career, his last three roles have centred on strengthening the MSP offerings within UK ISPs.
His appointment comes hot on the heels of Lee Thatcher joining CloudCoCo last quarter, as the newly-instated head of cloud. In the same month, the PLC announced an exclusive partnership with large-scale digital innovation specialist Abstract Tech, similarly based in Leeds.
CloudCoCo’s director of group sales, Gary Saunders, commented: “We are well positioned to move customers to the cloud, for free. But as they continue on that journey, it is important that we understand and support them with improving their security posture, that’s where Mark comes in.
“Cyber will be a core pillar of our growth as we continue with our plan to reach £100m turnover, so as we advance our tech-agnostic position in the market, it’s critical we have ultra-experienced people in post to do the job.”
Mark concluded: “It’s a fantastic time to join CloudCoCo. The business is making waves in what is currently a crowded market, which sees most MSPs ultimately offering the same thing, everyone talks about being cloud agnostic, but few people are actually doing anything about it. I am excited by the opportunity to join the disruption.”
Natalie Haigh, Crest Nicholson
Award-winning housebuilder, Crest Nicholson, has announced the appointment of Natalie Haigh as head of sales and Marketing for its new Yorkshire division. Natalie, who has worked for Crest Nicholson since February 2020, was previously a sales manager before progressing to senior manager for the South division.
With over 15 years’ experience working in the property industry, nine of which were in the new homes sector, she brings a wealth of experience to the role. Natalie will be responsible for overseeing the sales, marketing, and PR for the portfolio of developments in Yorkshire and will report into Guy Evans, managing director.
Guy Evans, managing director at Crest Nicholson Yorkshire, commented: “Having acquired our first site last year, and with further land acquisitions underway, we are looking forward to launching our first development soon, in the village of Sprotborough, on the edge of Doncaster.
“As we begin to establish ourselves in the region, it’s exciting to have a strong sales and marketing head to showcase Crest Nicholson to a range of new customers in the North.”
Natalie Haigh, head of sales and marketing for Crest Nicholson Yorkshire, added: “After a successful three years with Crest Nicholson, I am thrilled to be progressing my career by joining the Yorkshire division.
“It’s an exciting opportunity to lead the opening of a new region, and I am looking forward to building the Crest Nicholson brand in the north, working alongside Guy and the team to grow our presence in the region.”
David Winter, Benenden Health
Affordable healthcare provider Benenden Health has appointed David Winter as its new Head of Innovation as well as Managing Director of its subsidiary, Benenden Wellbeing Limited (BWL).
Winter will join the affordable healthcare provider from the energy sector, having held the role of Managing Director (Europe) for New Zealand-based energy software company Flux Federation. Prior to this Winter has held similar roles with npower and its subsidiary, Powershop UK.
In his title role, Winter will focus on the innovation of Benenden Health’s core product, which includes its 24/7 GP Helpline, 24/7 Mental Health Helpline, Care Planning & Social Care Advice Service, as well as its Medical Diagnostics, Medical Treatment and Cancer Support Services.
As managing director of BWL, David will be managing the ongoing innovation of additional products sold under the Benenden Health brand, including health assessments, cash plans, travel insurance and home insurance.
David commented: “I’m extremely excited to join Benenden Health at an important point for the business. There are deep and generational issues impacting healthcare provision across the UK, but these challenges enable strong momentum for change, often at a greater pace and with more ambition than it was possible to previously envisage.
“Benenden Health is well-positioned within the market to realise this opportunity. Uniquely, our healthcare is affordable, accessible and accountable to our members. I’ve already seen Benenden Health has the vision, people and passion to transform what we offer our members and the market. I’m really excited to play my part - let’s get to work!”
