Prestigious Event Returns to Celebrate Birmingham's Best
The renowned Birmingham Awards, launched to recognise individuals and organisations from across the region, will be returning for the 8th time and this year will be supported by Staffordshire University. Taking place on the 4th of November, the event will welcome Birmingham’s finest to celebrate outstanding work in the city.
The awards, hosted in The Holte Suite at Villa Park stadium, will recognise Birmingham citizens across 20 categories including Community Champion of the Year, Contribution to Education Award, Businesswoman of the Year, Start-Up Business of the Year, and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Launching in 2015, the Birmingham Awards are designed to celebrate the unsung heroes that make Birmingham proud. Following significant growth, investment, and development in the city, this year’s awards will bookend another exciting year for the UK’s second city.
Teaming up with Staffordshire University as diamond sponsor for this year’s ceremony, Sapreena Kumari, Executive Director for Admissions and Student Recruitment, shared her excitement for the prestigious awards:
“Staffordshire University are incredibly proud to be sponsoring the Birmingham Awards. The Young Achiever category is such an important recognition of the young talent that we have in our region and we can’t wait to celebrate their achievements on the night.”
Co-founder of BEvents, Ifraz Ahmed, celebrates the anticipated return of the Birmingham Awards by saying:

Nominations are now open for the Birmingham Awards and will close on the 22nd of September.
Finalists will be judged by some of Birmingham’s most prominent leaders across business, property, media, and more.
The Birmingham Awards returns for its 8th year with support from BEvents, which delivers recognised awards across the Midlands such as: Midlands Food, Drink, & Hospitality Awards; Midlands Property and Investment Awards; and the Women in Tech Awards.
