Gateshead Metrocentre announces launch date for brand-new leisure experience

Treetop Golf has announced the opening date of its fifth UK destination at Metrocentre, Gateshead. The adventure-packed mini-golf venue will be welcoming visitors to their most extraordinary and immersive experience yet, on Friday 6 October.

Elizabeth Stanway, CEO and co-founder of Treetop Golf, commented: “This is our most extraordinary destination yet. Treetop Golf Gateshead will be a tropical wonderland unlike any other leisure experience. We’re thrilled to be opening the jungle doors next month and can’t wait to help guests make memories together.”

A spokesperson representing the new venture explained: “There’s a host of new features and characters to explore on the two indoor 18-hole courses. Trek the Tropical Trail course and swing by Tree Frog Falls, where ribbets ripple across water and the sounds of the rainforest chime.

“Putt through the bioluminescent branches of The Mystic Wood and pass enormous, glowing roots as you weave your way to The Mighty Oracle; where your fate hangs in the balance of your next hit.

“Or take on the Ancient Explorer course and unearth a civilisation lost to the jungle. Guests will have the chance to meet The Fabulous Sacred Mask, who expects excellence and loves a catchphrase.

“Plus, slink through Viper Valley and manoeuvre around the dancing Maraca Mambas before visiting the Monkey-Vine Village where you can worship the Shrine of Mabel the Monkey Queen.”

Whichever route guests choose, every Treetop tour ends with the chance to win a free 18-hole trek on the Bonus 19th hole. This is also the place in which guests will find the free photo booth, where they can land themselves a special souvenir from their trip.

Guests are also welcomed to The Market either before or after the game, where they can indulge in a selection of tropical cocktails and mocktails from the Thirsty Toucan Bar or grab a coffee from the Jungle Buzz Café.

Treetop will be working closely with local suppliers to bring a selection of offerings to the venue including Full Circle Brew Co, Pink Lane Coffee Collective and Cake Stories.
