London-based Businesswoman Shortlisted for National Honour at Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards

Julia Kessler, CEO and Co-Founder of pioneering beverage company Nix & Kix Ltd, has secured finalist status for the prestigious honour of ‘Business Woman of the Year’ at the highly-regarded Women of the Year Luncheon and Awards 2023.

As Co-Founder, Julia has driven the growth of Nix & Kix building the company from zero to over 1,000 stockists across the UK and internationally, along with a diverse distribution network spanning retail and foodservice. Nix & Kix reflects Julia’s personality - she is relentless in making the most of every opportunity, she is full of ZING! With high energy and fun, she believes everyone should enjoy what they do in work and be kind, supporting others in the industry and beyond to reach their full potential.

Previous to Nix & Kix, Julia has 12 years’ experience in Supply Chain Operation and Program Management in the Hi-Tech industry. She is proud to have led numerous business process improvements across multiple regions, as well as leading various cross-functional and international teams.

One of Julia’s core principles is diversity and equality, she is firmly committed to promoting this value throughout her team at Nix & Kix by prioritising inclusive decision-making, involving the whole team.

Importantly, Julia likes to give back to her community, developing partnerships with charities such as Grocery Aid, Fairshare, and Young Minds.

Julia strives to serve as a role model and mentor for women venturing into entrepreneurship, inspiring and guiding them along their path to success. She aims to empower women in the FMCG industry, promoting gender diversity and inclusivity while encouraging women to take on leadership roles and make significant contributions. She’s actively supporting organisations like Operations Nations, YF and Buy Women build as a mentor and supporter.

Commenting on being shortlisted for the Business Woman of the Year Award Julia said: “Being shortlisted is such an honour as my motivation behind supporting women in business and becoming a strong role model in the industry is something I am super passionate about. Over the last couple of years I have mentored female entrepreneurs, have raised funding for women in need and have been invited to multiple speaker events. Throughout my network of 18 thousand followers I am delighted and honoured to support WOTY, raising awareness and supporting the fundraising for the important causes.”

Taking place on Friday 13th October 2023 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, Women of the Year Luncheon & Awards, is a celebration of achievement which promotes positive female role models who provide inspiration across all areas of society and the business community.
