Bob Priestley and Dan Wright - Priestley Construction

Bob Priestley has been appointed to the Board of Directors as Construction Director at Priestley Construction. The award-winning company has also promoted Dan Wright to Commercial Manager, following a string of new contract wins. Both have an impressive track-record in the construction industry.

Bob joined the company in 2021 as a Contracts Manager and quickly impressed, being promoted to Head of Construction in 2022.

Bob has more than 35 years industry experience and is a well-known and respected Construction Manager who has successfully overseen several multi-million-pound developments and headed up regional business units across Yorkshire, the Midlands and the North West.

Dan, who previously was Priestley’s Senior Quantity Surveyor, can demonstrate more than 20 years industry experience across all sectors, including the residential and student accommodation markets. Dan joined Priestley Construction 16 months ago and has previously undertaken Project Manager and Operations Director roles at other companies.

Bob commented: “I am thrilled to be joining the Board and taking a key role in the evolution and continued growth of this impressive business. In my new role, I will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of all our construction projects, with a current value in excess of £80m.

Dan added: “It’s a great business and a great team. In my new role, I will oversee our projects from start to finish, with my focus being firmly on delivering all projects within budget.”

Gareth Huxall - SRVCD

Gareth Huxall, former Head of Business Development at CloudCoCo Plc, has been announced as Managing Director of SRVCD, the organisation delivering custom solutions for businesses that are managing digital transformation requiring a range of technology services.

Having held a career in the tech sector for more than 20 years, Gareth brings with him a wealth of experience and contacts. He will join Founding Director of the company, Geoff Shepherd, as the team work to quickly scale the business.

Gareth commented: “Having worked in the tech sector for most of my career, this is a really exciting opportunity. As a startup, we have big plans for SRVCD and as two tech sector specialists, we know that we can bring our expertise and network of contacts to our customers from day one.

“We want to bring a new kind of service to our clients, which focuses on working together to implement the tech required to provide them with the competitive edge that they need to expand and meet with their ambitions.”

Founding Director of SRVCD, Geoff Shepherd, added: “I am so pleased that we are welcoming Gareth to the team as Managing Director. In addition to the experience he has, he also comes with the right attitude and approach.

“I am looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together as we establish the business and start to appoint a wider team, bringing jobs and opportunities to the Yorkshire region.”

Software as a Service (SaaS) provider, Adventoris, has onboarded four new staff, including a new infrastructure manager and implementation manager, as it sets its sights on US expansion.

Khalil Ahmed Siddiqui has been appointed as infrastructure manager, Vlad Chreckov as implementation manager, Baily Storey as implementation consultant, and Gala Edmunds as business development executive.

Khalil, whose role will see him being responsible for the planning, installation, maintenance and upgrades of the SwiftCloud infrastructure, has over 12 years of experience in server administration and is an Oracle certified database and cloud interface administrator.

CEO and founder of Adventoris, James Clarkson, commented: “Bringing Khalil, Vlad, Baily and Gala onboard has been fantastic for the team. Being able to expand our technical team will help us to enhance our client offering and really make SwiftCloud the best it can be.

“We are growing our international presence from a strong UK base and these roles will be instrumental as we look towards future growth.”

Speaking of his new role, Khalil added: “I’ve been impressed with the pioneering and innovative approach that Adventoris has taken over the years so when I came across the opportunity, it really sparked my interest.
