South Tyneside Restaurant Week announces return dates with over 40 venues
Food enthusiasts can experience a week of ‘fabulous food and fantastic offers’ with the return of South Tyneside Restaurant Week this autumn.
The campaign, which is running from Monday 23 October to Sunday 29 October, celebrates the best eateries, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars across the Borough, while giving food lovers the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of cuisines at a special discounted price.
Restaurants taking part in this year’s event are offering a one-off set menu or special item, which differs from any other promotional deal and has been launched especially for Restaurant Week.
Councillor Audrey Huntley, Deputy Leader of South Tyneside Council with responsibility for Culture, Leisure and the Visitor Economy, commented: “We’re delighted to be bringing back Restaurant Week, celebrating the Borough’s vibrant hospitality trade and encouraging people to support local businesses.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase the fantastic venues across our towns and villages, and with everything from traditional seaside fayre and hearty pub classics to Italian cuisine and sweet treats, it’s a chance to get people excited to dine out and try something new.”
There are more than 40 eateries taking part across South Tyneside this year. Some of the restaurants signed up include Bella’s Bar and Bistro at The Customs House, Davinci’s Italian, Eaststreet19, Frydays, Kuzey, Mio’s, Star of India, The Black Horse and SeaChange Café, among many more.
