MotorVise creates new role to head up its expanding Automotive Training Academy

Automotive consultancy MotorVise has appointed the highly experienced Tim Roelich to head up its Automotive Training Academy.

The newly created role of account manager highlights the growing demand for its wide range of courses which are designed to develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours of dealership staff.

Tim, a former Vertu Sales Manager of the Year with more than 19 years’ experience working across several car dealerships, will be responsible for further expanding its training services.

Fraser Brown, founder and managing director of MotorVise, said: “The most important issue facing car dealerships today is their staff and ensuring they possess the correct knowledge, skills and behaviours to maximise their personal performance which in turn drives sales and profit.

“Tim is an expert in sales operations and strategies, having worked in a number of dealerships, and is a key addition to our team. He’s highly organised, and his experience is invaluable in expanding this growing part of the business.”

MotorVise recently launched two additional training modules that focus on mishandled customer calls and maximising sales per customer through upsells and add-ons. Staff performance is monitored through calls and mystery shoppers to ensure that they receive the correct training and support.

Prior to working as a B2B sales consultant, Tim was general sales manager for Bristol Street Motors in Carlisle for almost five years. Joining the automotive sector in 2003 after graduating from Durham University, he initially becoming a sales executive at Border Cars (Carlisle) before joining Lloyds Mini as a sales executive. He returned to Border Cars in 2008 as sales manager.

Tim Roelich added: “I’m incredibly excited to join MotorVise in what is a crucial and rewarding role, as the difference between success and failure for many dealerships rests upon the quality of the knowledge and skills of their staff.

“Having been involved in automotive sales for much of my career, I’m looking forward to using my experience to further shape and refine the Automotive Training Academy as it continues to expand.”
