Office lettings continue to strengthen, says leading agent
A leading commercial property expert says demand for office space continues to strengthen despite uncertainty in the wider economy.
Tom Bromwich, founding partner of award-winning Coventry agency Bromwich Hardy, says companies remain keen to move to modern, sustainable space with the volume of deals remaining healthy throughout the summer.
Tom was speaking after concluding a deal for national automation specialist Mpac to lease new offices at Argosy Court on Coventry’s Whitley Business Park.
The Tadcaster-based company has taken unit 2 at Argosy Court on an eight-year lease under the deal. The two-storey open-plan office was built less than 20 years ago and has recently been extensively refurbished.
Tom, who acted for the landlord, said the deal for the detached office block represented excellent value for the landlord and the tenant.
“This is a great deal for some terrific space on a prime business location. Jaguar Land Rover already has its European headquarters at Argosy Court and the demand for space here is particularly strong.
“Unit 2 has a host of excellent amenities including comfort cooling, suspended ceilings with LG7 lighting, perimeter trunking, dedicated parking, landscaped grounds and access to six motorways within a 15-minute drive.
“There is a clear trend of companies looking for quality space in which their staff can thrive and Argosy Court is a first-class example of exactly that. We’ve certainly seen the office market remain very strong despite some of the challenges facing business in the wider economy.”
Bromwich Hardy was joint agents with Holt Commercial on the property.
Bromwich Hardy is one of the country’s leading independent commercial property agencies, regularly featuring at the top of industry leaderboard tables.
