A trio of new independent dining brands join the Sloane Stanley Estate

Sloane Stanley has announced Italian street-food concept Dez Amore, and specialty coffee company, Kiss The Hippo, are both set to join the south side of the Fulham neighbourhood later this year. Kings342, the new concept behind Street Food Markets Ltd, is also opening on the King’s Road at the end of the month, growing the F&B offer on the Estate.

Dez Amore will open a 1,178 sq ft unit at 273 Fulham Road, sitting adjacent to retailers such as Orée, M&S, and Ted’s Grooming Room. Founded by Simone Parentini and Leonardo Masi, Dez Amore specialises in traditional Italian dishes with a unique fusion twist, using selected ingredients from small local producers of the Italian and English countryside. Dez Amore’s Fulham Road flagship restaurant will offer both dine-in and takeaway options for the local community and will mark the operators sixth location in London.

Leonardo Masi, Co-Founder at Dez Amore, commented on the new site: “Chelsea is such an established area in London and we are so pleased to be launching our flagship restaurant in this sought after location. Our concept has moved from strength to strength over the last few years, and we look forward to bringing our culinary culture and sentimental experience to the Fulham neighbourhood, with this site marking a key signing for our expansion plans in the capital.”

Also joining the Sloane Stanley Estate is Kiss The Hippo, taking a 600 sq ft café to be located at 285 Fulham Road. Boasting ethically sourced coffee and state-of-the-art roastery’s, Kiss The Hippo Coffee will provide an innovative and sustainable choice to the Chelsea neighbourhood, delivering premium, ethically sourced carbon-negative coffee along with a selection of delectable pastries, cookies and focaccia’s. Always keeping taste at the forefront of their minds and for those who love to make their own coffee at home, the renowned coffee brand has compostable pods, coffee bags, equipment, a subscription service and coffee workshops such as a Latte art course and home brewing course, available. The new Chelsea location, launching in November 2023, will join its existing sites in Fitzrovia, Richmond, King’s Cross, and Shoreditch.

Maya Zara, Creative Director at Kiss The Hippo, said: “Everything we do here revolves around care – from how we meticulously source and roast our beans, to the thoughtful design of our spaces. We’re beyond excited to bring Chelsea the most delicious and sustainable coffee, handcrafted with passion and precision.”

Kings342, the new coffee bar and street food concept by Street Food Markets Ltd, is also set to join the Sloane Stanley estate at the end of the month, taking a 1,277 sq ft unit at 342 King’s Road. The new location will offer a memorable dining and social experience, delivering a menu which combines Filipino culinary tradition with inventive flair. Using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, Kings342 will boast an array of comfort food classics, whilst also offering handcrafted cocktails and live entertainment in a contemporary and vibrant environment.

Hannah Grievson, Property Director at Sloane Stanley, added: “The Fulham Road is known for its authenticity and independent brands, making it the perfect addition to Dez Amore and Kiss The Hippo’s portfolio of sites around London. Diversifying and evolving our dining offer within the Estate has long been a priority for us, ensuring we provide a good balance of offer, and it’s exciting to also welcome Kings342 to the mix and deliver a Filipino twist. We’re looking forward to welcoming these three innovative and London-based concepts to the Estate later this year as we continue to champion the very best of independents.”
