Kingdom officers collaborate with local police and council in multi-agency approach to tackle fly-tipping and littering

Kingdom Local Authority Support (LAS), part of Kingdom Services Group, has partnered with local police and Council in Redbridge, and Parkguard Ltd, Ilford in a multi-agency approach to reducing environmental crime and improving community safety.

In a joint effort to tackle littering and fly-tipping around the North-East London borough, Kingdom officers will be working to support littering reduction in the area that is unsightly and harmful to local wildlife.

The London Borough of Redbridge is well known for its existing commitment to tackling environmental crimes, and in 2022, they launched their Wall of Shame scheme, where they share CCTV footage of people carrying out environmental crimes and ask the public to help identifying them.

Since its inception, the Redbridge Wall of Shame has helped to reduce fly-tipping incidents in hotspot locations around the area. The initiative saw a positive impact on Dane Road and Ley Street, with both Ilford locations seeing a drastic reduction in fly-tipping incidents.

Kingdom will work collaboratively to make the community a better place by doing their bit for the environment through litter picks and enforcing environmental crime laws, removing litter and other eye sores from the streets of Redbridge.

Kingdom LAS offers Local Authorities support in the battle against fly-tipping, littering and anti-social behaviour.

John Roberts, Director of Service at Kingdom Local Authority Support says: “We are really pleased to be working in partnership with some local agencies in Redbridge to bring littering and other environmental crimes under control.

“The work Redbridge are doing already has been successful, with culprits risking being exposed acting as a deterrent to those who may be thinking about committing and environmental crime.

“We are confident that working alongside Redbridge Council, the local police force, Parkguard and Ilford BID will mean we can make the local environment a nicer area for the local residents.”
