Merry Hill set to welcome family favourite, ASK Italian
Sovereign Centros has announced that ASK Italian, the Italian dining restaurant chain, is set to open its latest restaurant at Merry Hill, one of the UK’s top ten retail and leisure destinations. Celebrating 30 years of bringing the best of Italy to the UK, ASK Italian will open its doors this November, occupying a 3,350 sq ft space within Merry Hill’s emerging leisure quarter.
Since opening its first restaurant in 1993, ASK Italian has since grown to a family of over 65 restaurants across the UK. Diners at the Merry Hill restaurant can expect a range of antipasti, stone-baked pizzas, and fresh pasta dishes, as well as a wealth of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options. ASK Italian’s food always begins with inspiration from Italy, be it in an ingredient, a tradition, or a well-loved dish, incorporating bold and playful touches.
ASK Italian’s new Merry Hill restaurant will form another key component of the emerging leisure quarter, which is already popular amongst Merry Hill’s visitors. It will be located between local favourite Bon Pan Asian Restaurant and new entrant wagamama – which has experienced record sales since its launch in May this year – and close to Hollywood Bowl, the new anchor for the hub.
Jack Gordon, Senior Asset Manager at Sovereign Centros, commented: “We’re excited to welcome ASK Italian to Merry Hill, and their commitment represents yet another established and popular eatery joining our leisure quarter, following wagamama. We’ve pinpointed this area within Merry Hill as the best possible place to introduce a new range of F&B and entertainment experiences for our community; ASK Italian will provide another great option for our visitors, and there’s even more on the way.”
Corinne Prior, Marketing Director at ASK Italian, added: “In such a milestone year for ASK Italian where we’re celebrating 30 years strong, and our new restaurant in Merry Hill will build on our incredible family of restaurants, each serving their own unique community. We’re excited to join the new leisure hub, where we can continue to bring people together over great Italian meals.”
This announcement follows the recent news that Hollywood Bowl, the UK’s largest ten-pin bowling operator, has opened at Merry Hill. Spanning 36,000 sq ft, Hollywood Bowl Merry Hill contains 24 dedicated bowling lanes, including six exclusive VIP lanes, as well as a wide variety of food and drink options and an amusement arcade area.
