Wakefield-based digital agency launches online platform for University of Liverpool
Yorkshire creative digital agency Feel Created has developed and launched the Prosper portal for The University of Liverpool.
The portal is an innovative online platform that offers postdocs (postdoctorals), managers of researchers, and research institutions across the UK access to a wide range of resources designed to enable postdoc career potential.
The Feel Created and Prosper teams collaborated over several months, resulting in an accessible solution that unlocks postdocs’ potential to thrive across multiple career pathways.
Dr. James Howard, project director at Prosper and Director of the UoL Development Academy, said: “Postdocs have so much to offer academically and professionally, but very little time to think about fulfilling their true career potential. Prosper is a freely accessible interactive tool that postdocs can tap into for support on every aspect of their career journey, from self-reflection to practical skills.
“Postdocs from our pilot cohorts have already experienced success through Prosper, and now postdocs across the country can use the new system’s advanced functionality to quickly tailor the experience to their needs and build their skills and confidence.”
Ian Long, creative director at Feel Created, added: “The Prosper portal required a custom content management system (CMS), which was developed by us, as a specialist WordPress agency.
“Much thought has gone into the functionality of the Prosper CMS from all contributors. A strong user experience was critical to this project, allowing postdocs and supporting staff to navigate career information quickly and easily. We’re now at a point where we can get users straight to relevant information, with the option to map and revisit their journey.”
Prosper is an online resource accessible to all postdocs - as well as managers of researchers and research institutions looking to enhance their own postdoc career development programmes - and the platform’s launch marks the start of further developments. The existing written and video resources will be regularly updated, feeding into three interlinking Reflect, Explore and Act themes.
