RED Driver Training announces the Driving Instructor of the Year
Leading national driving school, RED Driver Training, today announces its Driving Instructor of the Year, Niall Davies, who has claimed the title for a second year running, awarded at the company’s dedicated event at Donington Park Race Circuit on 14th October.
Wales-based Niall stated, “I had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the final. I was glad that all regional winners were recognised as a winner too”.
Regional winners were announced in September, based on learner driver reviews and app progress logging. RED identified its top instructors by assessing instructors in each region with the most 5-star Trustpilot reviews. As the government announces additional driving tests are available to learners, the driving industry continues to work together to combat the backlog that remains post-lockdown. The persistent pressure on driving instructors to deliver above and beyond for their learners in a time where enquiries are at an all-time high makes these celebrations even more important.
Seb Goldin, CEO of RED Driver Training, says: “We pride ourselves on the incredibly high standards to which our instructors work to, and this is proven through their outstanding reviews – you can’t get a better commendation of someone’s expertise than hearing directly from a learner about their experience and the impact a driving instructor has had on them.”
“We know that learning to drive is often filled with nervousness and anxieties, so being able to create comfortable but professional situations for driving learners is something that should be truly commended. The final was a real celebration, meeting the winners from all over the country and them rewarded for their consistent hard work, it was great to spend the day with all involved.”
In recognition of their efforts as regional winners, the country’s top instructors battled it out for the title of Driving Instructor of the Year with a series of exercises included a blind manoeuvre, fuel save driving and theory questions. The final took place on the 14th October at RED’s dedicated training premises at Donington Park Race Circuit. Following the day of activities, the evening brought an awards ceremony announcing the 2023 Driving Instructor of the Year to be, Niall Davies from Wales. Followed by 2nd place winner Timmy Ogunlolu and 3rd place winner Michal Polowczyk.
The Driving Instructor of the Year awards have taken place at an exciting time for RED, having surpassed 10,000 Trustpilot reviews, delivered over 1,000,000 driving lessons in the year so far, and having recently launched a fully integrated solution for learners, helping them to pass their theory test. The app, RED Complete Driving Theory, is now available in Apple and Android formats priced at £4.99 per month.
Timmy Ogunlolu, regional East of England winner and overall 2nd place winner, says “The app is a great addition to helping learners with their theory, which we integrate into our lessons. These technological advances and industry initiatives, such as the Driving Instructor of the Year Awards, make me very thankful to be part of RED’s amazing team.”
2023’s winner for the West Midlands, Mukesh Kumar, comments, “The awards are a brilliant moment to bring us all together and genuinely recognise the work that we’re doing. The industry is exciting and fast moving, and it’s great to be able to celebrate it with other RED franchisees. As the awards are based on our learner drivers’ experience, this makes the win feel even more rewarding.”
The winners from each region are as follows: Scotland, Stephanie Louise Ritchie North West England, Phillip J R Peiris North East & Yorkshire & Humber, Nazreen Shakoor Wales, Niall Davies West Midlands, Mukesh Kumar East Midlands, Brad Halfpenny East of England, Timmy Ogunlolu South West England, Michal Polowczyk South East England, Manuel Monteiro
