Manufacturer expands to new site and creates jobs via seven-figure HSBC funding
Buckinghamshire manufacturer and installer of aluminium and PVC doors and windows, SBM Glazing, is set to open a new showroom and warehouse following a seven-figure funding package from HSBC UK.
Thanks to the deal, SBM Glazing will open a new 11,365 sq ft site in High Wycombe. The expansion will allow the business to increase its operations and production capacity and showcase more of its products to customers nationwide.
The new site will create five new jobs for the local economy, which will include administrators and fabricators. SBM Glazing has also transferred all its business banking to HSBC UK.
Guljar Singh, Director at SBM Glazing, commented: “We’re excited to announce the opening of a new location in High Wycombe to display our wide selection of windows and doors. This new site will allow us to continue supporting communities in Buckinghamshire and beyond, as we start to make our plans for growth a reality.”
Amit Tomar, Relationship Manager at HSBC UK, added: “The demand for new doors and windows has increased heavily in the last few years with homeowners retrofitting their homes in a bid to reduce carbon consumption and save on energy bills.
“This funding allows SBM Glazing to respond to this trend, supporting homeowners and commercial property owners with the transition to more efficient window and door systems.”
Research by the Energy Saving Trust found that upgrading single-glazed windows with A++ rated double-glazed windows will save households up to £235 a year and 405 kg of carbon dioxide.
With over 25 years’ experience, SBM Glazing is a window and door company that offers manufacturing and installation services for domestic and commercial properties. Its products range from sleek black bi-folding doors to specialist windows for period properties, and glass divisions for offices.
