Purple Transform welcomes Simon Blagden CBE as Advisory Board Member
Cutting-edge, ethical AI company announces appointment of accomplished and transformative leader as Advisor to the Board
Purple Transform today announced the appointment of Simon Blagden CBE as the newest addition to the team. Purple Transform ethically combines AI with Human Intelligence to develop solutions such as SiYtE. SiYtE is an advanced AI-driven platform that delivers better human outcomes by integrating with existing cameras, sensors, and third-party data to detect, alert, and provide insights tailored to specific needs.
Simon brings 35 years’ experience in the IT, telecoms and digital industry, initially at GEC as International Commercial Manager and subsequently as CEO of International Operations on the main board of Quante AG. He also served as non-executive Chairman at Fujitsu Telecommunications UK for 14 years. Blagden was honoured with an MBE for services to export in 1997 and a CBE for services to the economy in 2016.
Currently Chair of Building Digital UK (BDUK), Blagden is at the helm of Project Gigabit, the government’s £5 billion programme to provide fast, reliable broadband to hard-to-reach communities. He is also Industry Chairman of the Parliamentary Internet, Communications and Technology Group.
