Northumbria Health become Eagles official medical partner

Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles are in safe hands after partnering with one of the region’s most proactive private healthcare providers.

Northumbria Health is the official medical partner to the Eagles’ men’s and women’s teams during the 2023/24 season. And senior players now have unrivalled access to a team of experienced professionals operating across the North East.

Chris Land, deputy director at Northumbria Health said: “Northumbria Health is delighted to be named the official medical partner to the Eagles. We are incredibly excited to be working with a fantastic sports team and we commend them in their efforts within the local community and their commitment to promoting health and wellbeing through the Eagles Community Foundation’s Hoops 4 Health programme.

“Their values closely align with our own commitment to working to reduce health inequalities and encouraging physical activity. The partnership allows the players to have access to our diagnostic services such as our state-of-the-art MRI Scanner and our leading cardiology specialists.”

Eagles men’s and women’s players are already taking advantage of Northumbria Health’s bank of expertise backed by state-of-the-art equipment.

“It’s important that our players feel supported in every way and this exciting partnership provides the Eagles organisation with unrivalled access to a team of trusted professionals as well as offering peace of mind across the board,” said Paul Blake, managing director at Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles. We’d like to thank Chris and his colleagues for coming on board at what’s an extremely busy time for the club.

“It goes without saying that with an increased number of domestic fixtures and a European campaign this season it’s never been more important to focus on the health and wellbeing of our senior rosters. Knowing that Northumbria Health is in our corner gives everyone involved with the organisation a huge amount of confidence.”

Northumbria Health offers services to private patients in Northumberland, North Tyneside and beyond. All profits generated from private activity are re-invested in NHS frontline services. The private arm of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is committed to widening healthcare access and working in new ways to meet the region’s increasing demand for key services.
